DESCRIPTION

A computer has a great role and impact in our daily life. Considering this aspect CBSE has introduced the subject, Computer Applications. Herein, students learn to create web pages by using HTML and CSS, know about Networking concepts and cyber netiquettes. The book adheres to the revised curriculum of class X issued by CBSE in the year 2021

The book is divided into three units. Further, each unit is subdivided to simplify the concept and content. The first unit will cover the basics of the Internet, its service, functions and how it works. The second unit covers the concept of HTML and CSS that helps students creating web pages and form designing.

The third unit covers the concept of Cyberethics. It emphasizes network netiquettes, software licensing, open-source software, freeware, shareware, plagiarism, intellectual rights, digital divide and much more.

Pinky Gupta is an M.Sc (IT), MCA and B.Ed from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. She is graduated from Delhi University in B.Com (Hons.). She has also completed ‘A’ Level course from the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC, under Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India) and also, a 2 year certified course in Diploma in Advanced Software Technology (DAST) from CMC Ltd. ( then, a Govt. Enterprise).

She has 12 years of rich professional experience in the field of education. Currently, working as the HOD, Computer Science in a reputed school in Delhi, She is also handling the entire CBSE-related work, various Olympiad examinations and competitions organized by different schools. For her outstanding performance in Class-XII as a teacher, she has received an “Appreciation Letter” from the “Hon’ble HRD Minister Smt. Smriti Zubani Irani” in the year 2015.
