Yashavant Kanetkar is an author of more than a dozen books on C/C++/VC++/COM/DirectX/.Net programming. His books are amongst the highest-selling titles in Asia. He has several technology articles to his credit and is a regular columnist for Express Computers and Developer 2.0 published in association with the venerable Dr Dobb's Journal. In recognition of his efforts Microsoft awarded him the "Best .NET Technical Contributor" award from Microsoft for the year 2003.
