Agentic AI for the Enterprise
DESCRIPTION
Agentic AI marks the most significant shift in enterprise technology since cloud computing. Autonomous systems that can reason, coordinate across tools, and act with bounded independence are rewriting how organizations operate, make decisions, and deliver value at scale.
This book takes you from foundational concepts to production-ready execution. Starting with the evolution from macros and automation scripts to goal-driven agents, you will learn how agentic AI replaces brittle automation with adaptive orchestration. Real finance workflows, frameworks for identifying high-value use cases, agent-driven operation design, cross-functional collaboration protocols, responsible AI practices, infrastructure readiness, a 90-day execution playbook, and organizational transformation are all covered. Industry deep dives into healthcare and financial services show agents handling regulated, high-stakes work. Final chapters address scaling from pilot to platform and thriving in an agent-first future.
By the end of this book, you will be equipped to lead agentic AI initiatives with clarity on architecture, governance, talent strategy, and measurable business impact across any enterprise domain.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
● Identify high-value use cases using intent-execution gap analysis.
● Build cross-functional agent workflows with governance and accountability.
● Implement responsible AI guardrails for regulated environments.
● Scale from isolated pilots to enterprise-wide agent platforms.
● Transform organizational talent, incentives, and operating models.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Reagan Rosario is one of the most respected voices in enterprise AI architecture, with an extensive track record of high-profile work transitioning large organizations from legacy operations to AI-driven workflow automation and cloud-native design.
As Worldwide Generative AI Specialist Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, he delivers production-oriented AI and agentic systems for major enterprises across the globe, translating cutting-edge AI advances into operational architectures that hold up under real-world regulatory and scale constraints.
His work has earned recognition across multiple domains. AWS has adopted it as official Solutions Guidance; ARM (the semiconductor architecture company powering over 99% of smartphones worldwide) references it as recommended practitioner reading; it has been cited in academic literature and featured at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference in Las Vegas.
A sought-after leader in the practitioner community, he has presented at re:Invent and re:Inforce, international conferences drawing tens of thousands of engineers and architects, and his technical publications have been translated into Japanese, Spanish, and Korean.
His architectural contributions span AI-driven systems, serverless and cloud-native architectures, and large-scale enterprise modernization across financial services, media and entertainment, healthcare, and education technology.
Before AWS, he spent over a decade building enterprise-scale platforms for major financial institutions, delivering platforms that serve millions of users. He has served as a technical reviewer for international publishers and as a judge for international AI innovation awards.
This book reflects his commitment to making autonomous, goal driven AI systems practical, governable, and production-ready for enterprises navigating the Agentic Age.
Manish Ballal has spent two decades at the leading edge of enterprise automation, arriving early to each major wave, from rule-based RPA and intelligent automation to today’s agentic AI systems.
At AWS, he was the founding go-to-market lead for Amazon Quick Automate and now leads agentic AI product partnerships. His career spans software engineering, consulting, enterprise sales, and product management across financial services, healthcare, and technology. Across these roles, he has seen firsthand how large enterprises undertake technology-led transformation and what it takes to turn ambitious ideas into change at scale.
Before AWS, Manish built large businesses and opened new markets from scratch for SaaS unicorns and global systems integrators. He also led automation and AI practices across the United States and Australia. He speaks at international conferences on automation and AI and advises early-stage founders on go-to-market strategy.
He trained as a chemical engineer and holds an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, a combination that may explain both his obsession with systems and his enthusiasm for selling them.
After many years as a Sydneysider, Manish now lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and two daughters. He once rolled his arm over for his college cricket team and remains an unapologetic Test cricket purist. Away from work, he reads widely and is developing an ear for classical music with help from his elder daughter, an accomplished young vocalist.
This book grows out of his belief that agentic AI should amplify human capability rather than replace it, and that leaders who understand these systems clearly will be best placed to use them wisely.
Sumit Wasuja is an enterprise automation pioneer whose work has helped shape the evolution of automation from rule-based process orchestration to intelligent, agentic workflows. As the founding product leader for Amazon Quick Automate at AWS, he leads the development of agentic AI systems that enable organizations to automate complex end-to-end business processes. His product is used by some of the largest AWS enterprise customers to drive operational transformation at scale.
Over eighteen years, Sumit has led transformations for some of the world's largest enterprises across financial services, healthcare, energy, and technology, helping them reimagine how work gets done through the progressive application of automation, AI, and human-machine collaboration. Prior to AWS, he spent almost a decade at Deloitte Consulting, where he led enterprise-scale transformations for Fortune 10 organizations.
A recognized thought leader in the automation and AI space, Sumit has authored influential publications on agentic automation and has led advanced technical workshops at AWS re:Invent. He has been invited as a featured speaker and panelist at major industry conferences, including multiple appearances at UiPath Forward, one of the world's largest automation-focused gatherings, and has been featured on technology podcasts exploring the future of agentic automation.
This book reflects his commitment to upskilling every individual to harness agentic automation, turning autonomous systems into practical tools for human productivity.
Sumit lives in Redmond with his wife, Charu and two children, Avyaan and Avika. When not working, he can be found reading a biography or playing tennis with Avyaan.
